My aunt is the coolest person EVAH!

I got an email saying I had a package downstairs and I was like "WHA? I'm not expecting anything." So I go down there and the form that I had to sign said it was a large package. Definitely strange.

Turns out, it was an Easter care package from my aunt. In addition to returning the hand lotion that my grandpa mistakenly ended up with, she sent me two things of Spongebob Easter candy, a new bathtowel and a huge box of cookies from Palisades Park Bakery (right near her house in New Jersey). I'm totally shocked but then again, my aunt really does cool stuff like this from time to time. I also think that whenever my cousin isn't around (and this time permanently), she tends to dote on me a little more. But hey, it's all good heh.

I just got a voicemail on my phone from my dog. Well, my mom pretending to be my dog. Talking about how he got groomed today and looks all pretty and can't wait for me to be home. I wish I were home now. One more long week -_-

Like the fact that the convenience store in my building gave me a 1945 penny.

Like the fact that Hugh Grant dancing to the Pointer Sisters is perhaps the greatest movie scene ever.

Like the fact that Condi Rice is going to be the greatest Secretary of State ever.

Like the fact that I don't know whether or not I'll ever get that Modest Mouse song out of my head.

Like the fact that Season 6 of The Amazing Race premieres tomorrow.

Like the fact that I have made it more than 24 hours without seeing The Edge of Reason or BJD.

Wow.

I'm looking through my European Relations notes from March 30th when I spot this:

I amuse me.

In other news, finally tracked down my father and bitched him out for the phone. Woke up this morning to significant foot pain with an unknown cause. Should I be concerned? I tend to exaggerate things like this in my mind due to too much medical knowledge. That's what happens when your father is a doctor and you work in a hospital.

Final tomorrow. Take home and an exam Monday. Final Wednesday. Then home for a week. Then back to DC for my boys' graduation then either off to Baltimore or OBX(!!!) with the bf and his family. Is it weird that I've probably spent more time with them in 2004 than with my own family?

Back to studying.

I just walked through the main square here at my university and there was a guy sitting on a bench playing "Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town" and doing a rather good job of it too.

I smiled and walked past, singing along and was amazed that I've retained all the words after all these years.

A truly sweet little moment.
